It is estimated that by 2010, nearly 75% of the Web content access will be generated by small, palm-held devices rather than desktop PCs. The emphasis therefore is to transform the very basics of content delivery formats.
In general, PDAs still present challenges from a content creator's point of view for delivery of recreated content, although newer browser technologies are allowing for richer content delivery. EEPIL sees major scope in this field and is developing newer in-house skill-sets for developing PDA-formatted content.
Today, designing content effectively for PDAs means getting rid of graphics, tables, images, and programs such as Java, Shockwave and Flash. EEPIL is working on XML-based pages that will remove some of the limitations from PDA content delivery for some of its clients.

Content delivery on PDAs will be driven by the intelligence in the browser itself as only applications will be able to easily extract and format relevant content from a universal XML based page. Again the emphasis is on creating PDA friendly pages. EEPIL currently is researching on:
• Solutions for PDA devices
• Mobile applications
• Telecom-related application solutions for handheld devices
